Carol Fox recommends:
The Help by Kathryn Stockett, an insightful look at what it was like to be a domestic worker in Jackson Mississippi during the early '60's.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by the late author Stieg Larsson (already a Swedish-language film). This first book in his trilogy is a wonderful mystery that includes all the elements that make it a must-read.
Presenting readers with a moral dilemma that has us asking what we might do in the protagonist's situation is Look Again by Lisa Scottoline.
Readers can also treat themselves to some wonderful older titles that previously had long waiting lists, and are now readily available.
We welcome your recommendations, which we will also share here on our website.
