Volunteer

We love our volunteers - because our volunteers are a group of fascinating people. When people are interested in libraries, they are usually interesting people. Our volunteers say they feel "satisfied" that their time and work is appreciated and accomplishes something worthwhile.

Won't you join us? Donate your time, energy, and talent! We have many volunteer opportunities:

1. As a Board member - our monthly Board meetings, 4th Wednesday at 1:00 pm, are open to all our members; we encourage new ideas and opinions from all. Our annual elections are held in October/November.

2. As a Book Store Volunteer - sign up for a regular 2-3 hour shift, or as a substitute. It's fun to meet customers who care about books and media.

3. As a Book Sale Volunteer - work for a few hours approximately every quarter - to help sort, set-up, sell, clean-up, or move boxes. Coordinating efforts is a challenge but feels good.

4. For readers - participate in our Book Clubs and lead an occasional discussion.

Occasional Opportunities

5. As a host/hostess at events/meetings.

6. To do clerical tasks and help the Friends or the Library Staff.

7. To participate in a telephone tree and communicate with our members.

8. To do some tasks at home.

9. To write reviews of books or media for our Newsletter.

10. For an artistic person - to draw large posters and other signs, and share ideas.

Future Projects

11. To work at a computer and do online selling of books and media.

12. To create and work on fundraising projects.

13. To help with programming - ideas, phone calls, coordinating tasks.
